Giving Tuesday 2025

It’s Giving Tuesday, and everyone is asking for cash.

We’re not.

The Silk Moth Stage is hibernating until spring. It’s getting chilly out there. We’re planning another extraordinary season of big stories, told with surprise and delight. Right now, though, it’s too cold to sit outside and watch a play.

We’re thinking about our neighbors who don’t have a warm place to go, or whose picnic baskets are running low. This #givingTuesday, please send your donations to organizations that are helping our most vulnerable community members. We’ve made a list of our favorites, many of which have partnered with us to bring guests to shows.

So this Tuesday, please donate to:

What about Silk Moth? We want your friends.

What we want, more than money, is to grow our audience. We love performing, and we love playing to a full house (okay, well, yard).

We’d rather sell a $34 ticket than get a $50 donation, any day. We want more people to come share s’mores at our fire. We want more eyes to lock onto in the most magic moments.

So send us your friends.

This is a trickier kind of impact to measure than dollars in the bank, so please let us know how you sent your people our way. You can email us at hello@silkmothstage.com or hit our DMs @silkMothStage on Instagram or Facebook.

Help us out by:

  • Telling a friend about a show you saw last season (or in 2024 or 2023 or 2022!)
  • Help a friend learn the sea shanty from The Wanting Forest (2025).
  • Inviting someone to join our mailing list
  • Posting a picture from a show on your social media (tag us @silkMothStage!)
  • Convincing a friend to follow us on Instagram or Facebook
  • Encouraging an artist to connect with us for future opportunities
  • Making a date with a friend to see a show next year—we haven’t made a formal season announcement yet, but we promise it will be great. You can buy 2026 season tickets already for the best discounts and special perks.
  • Even better, get a group together—groups of 10 or more get a special discount (use code GROUP10), and we have incentives for carpooling.

In return, we’d like to introduce you to our friends

These are theaters that inspire us, or where we have had the good fortune to work. If you live near them, check them out!
