Lots of our audience members come from far away. It can be a bit of a drive to come all the way from DC or Philly just to see a short play and have some fire circle time.

- May 28-30: The Off Center (Staunton) opens Tangleroot
- May 29: Eunoia Theatre has a reading of True West at Black Sheep Coffee
- May 29-31: American Shakespeare Center (Staunton) opens As You Like It
- May 30: Court Square Theater (Harrisonburg) has Within the Footlights: A celebration featuring Musical Theater Songs and Stories
- May 31: Wayne Theatre presents Valley Dance Theatre‘s Alice in Danceland

- May 23 and 24: Staunton August Art Center – Art on the town at Gypsy Hill Park and an exhibit of paintings by father and son Martin and Philip Geiger in its gallery at the Smith Center

- Harrisonburg, Staunton, AND Waynesboro have great farmers’ markets every Saturday.
- The Green Valley Bookfair is an amazing place to find new books at low prices.

- Frontier Culture Museum is a living history museum where you can interact with the past.

- Virginia Scenic Railway is a round-trip tourist train ride through Shenandoah.
- Virginia Safari Park is a fun place where you can feed elks and things.
- Harmony Harvest Farm (Augusta County) has pick-your-own flowers.
- Virginia Quilt Museum has an amazing collection of art quilts.
- Factory Antique Mall is the largest antique mall in America at 150,000 square feet.
